- Spare Picture (Picture Menu)
-
- DEMONSTRATION AVAILABLE -> `Spare_Picture.sdemo`
-
- DeluxePaint allows you to have an extra or spare page to work with. This
- spare page is useful as a work area to store parts of a picture, such as
- custom brushes or patterns. Even when multiple animation frames exist, you
- can still have a spare page to work with; the word "Scratch" will appear in
- the title bar to let you know that you are working with the spare page
- rather than an animation frame.
-
- SWAP (j for "Jump"):
- Activates and displays the spare page. When you first load DPaint,
- the spare page does not exist until you first "Jump" to it.
-
- COPY TO SPARE: (Ctrl j):
- Copies the picture on the current page to the spare page.
-
- MERGE IN FRONT: Overlays the spare page onto the current page. All
- background-colored pixels of the spare page become transparent during
- the overlay so that the image on the current page can show through.
-
- MERGE IN BACK: Overlays the current page onto the spare page. All
- background-colored pixels of the current page become transparent
- during the overlay so that the image on the spare page can show
- through.
-
- DELETE THIS PAGE: If a spare page exists, clearing the screen erases the
- image displayed on it but the spare page still uses up memory. This
- option clears and deletes the current page and releases all memory set
- aside for it. This is helpful on systems with minimal memory. Delete
- the spare page if it is no longer necessary.
